If your pet gets lost, how can the finder reach you?
A person with a phone and internet can open the profile and contact you directly.

The profile shows your contact details and pet information. The finder can call you or send a WhatsApp message.
Choose to share location
If the finder chooses to share and grants location permission, their phone’s location is emailed to you.

Your pet’s profile can change. The QR code on the tag stays the same. Here is how to update the details. On the website, open Manage profile. Enter the email used for your order, complete the security check and request your access code. A six digit code arrives by email. It is valid for ten minutes and a single use. Do not share it. Return to the website, enter the code and select Verify code. You will see the pets linked to that email. Choose the one to edit. You can update several pets in the same session. Update the photo, identification and contact details. Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP image, up to ten megabytes. The website resizes it automatically. Choose which optional fields are visible to people who scan the QR. Share only useful information to help your pet. Preview the profile and save your changes. Editing updates the digital profile, but does not change the name already engraved on the tag. When you finish, select End editing. GeoPetPro. The right contact details, with the same QR.

How to share at the appointment

In Vaccinations, enable “Show vaccination record on the QR profile” and save.
At the vet
Simply scan the tag’s QR code and open the vaccination record on the profile. Your vet does not need to enter your private editing area.
After the appointment
Turn visibility off and save again. Your records stay saved privately, without being deleted.

What are the launch prices and how much do I save?
The standard tag is €11.99 at launch, compared with the planned €16.99 afterwards: save €5.00 per tag. The name-engraved tag is €14.99, compared with the planned €20.00: save €5.01 per tag. Both versions include the same editable profile without a subscription. The launch and announced regular prices both include Portugal shipping. Total savings depend on your chosen styles and quantities.
Can I show my vet the vaccination record through the QR code?
Yes. In Vaccinations, enter the records, enable “Show vaccination record on the QR profile” and save. Your vet simply scans the tag’s QR code and opens the record on the profile. After the appointment, turn visibility off and save again: your records remain saved privately, without being deleted. While visible, anyone with the link can read them. These records are entered by the owner and do not replace the official vaccination record.
Does the tag need a battery or charger?
No! The tag uses laser-engraved QR Code technology on stainless steel. It contains no electronic components and never needs charging.
Is it waterproof and durable?
Yes, 100%! Made of high-grade stainless steel with precision laser engraving. Your pet can swim or play without damaging it.
Does the finder need to install an app?
No. Any smartphone camera (iPhone or Android) reads the QR Code directly to open the profile page instantly.
Are there any monthly or annual fees?
None at all. The standard tag is €11.99 and the personalised tag with your pet's name is €14.99, paid once, with lifetime access to the service and alerts.
Can I change the photo or contacts later?
Yes. In “Manage profile”, enter your order email and verify the six-digit code, valid for 10 minutes. Then choose any pet associated with that email and update photos, contacts and notes. The session lasts 30 minutes.
Does it work for cats too?
Yes. GeoPetPro tags are for dogs and cats. The profile shows the name, photo, breed and your phone number so the finder can contact you immediately.
Do you ship across Portugal?
Yes. Delivery in 3 to 7 business days in Portugal, with shipping included in the €11.99 price. We also ship abroad: €11.99 plus shipping, in 4 to 10 business days.
How is this different from a GPS tracker or an AirTag?
GeoPetPro is QR identification, not live tracking. Location is emailed only when someone opens the profile, chooses to share and grants location permission. A dedicated GPS tracker provides active tracking; an AirTag relies on nearby compatible devices. They can complement each other.
Do I need an app or internet on the tag?
The tag needs no internet, battery or Bluetooth. The finder needs a camera phone and an internet connection to open the profile. No app installation is required.

How is the profile set up? Do I need an account?
No. There is no user account and no app. The profile is created when you order on geopetpro.com: pet name, photo, breed, sex and your phone number. The tag ships already engraved with that QR. You do not scan it to activate anything when it arrives.
What does someone see when they scan the tag?
Your pet’s name, photo, breed and main contact. The owner can also publish their name, an alternative contact and behaviour or health notes. Finders can call, send WhatsApp or share their location with permission. The QR does not provide editing access.
Does the QR tag replace a microchip?
No. A QR tag enables contact using a phone. A microchip is a different form of identification read with specialist equipment. Keep the microchip and registration details up to date.
Do both versions include the same digital profile?
Yes. The standard front has the GeoPetPro logo; the personalised front has your pet’s name. Both include the same QR, editable profile, vaccination records, alerts and location sharing. Neither includes NFC or built-in GPS.
